Periphery Atlantic city Concert reviews
Music of the Night
I was delighted to get tickets for myself and my 2 boys, ages 10 and 12, having seen this show on Broadway in its original run. The production itself was quite good, at times a bit overblown on the level of sound. My 10 year old did quite well with his usual sound filtering ear plugs as he has noise sensitivity. Be aware that there are some loud eruptions, gun shot sounds, and large pyrotechnics in this show, so plan accordingly if you or anyone in your party is sensitive. The venue did not disclose that the rear orchestra (floor level) seats would have an obstructed view, the only true disappointment for us. If you sit more than 1/3 of the way back, you will miss quite a bit of the action that takes place high in the front of the stage due to the overhang of the balcony, which you can't see. I certainly would have chosen different seats or another venue if I had been privy to that information. Other than that, it was well worth the special trip to Indy to see the lovely costumes and production.
